Mitchell is a current student at Young Harris College, allowing him to fish the lakes in the area regularly. He has lived in Hiawassee his whole life and began bass fishing in middle school, where many peers taught him the ropes that established the foundation for the passion he has found today.

Competitively, Mitchell has been fishing since middle school, fishing local tournaments. In high school, he competed on the bass fishing team and fished in 3 state championships and one national championship. In college, he competed in a BASS national championship and now focuses on a personal career in competitive fishing through BFL, ABA, and any other trail that he is able to fish.

Mitchell has been guiding since high school by taking any overbooked trips that are offered. He has had great success in this and has found a passion in helping others get fishing. 2024 will be the first year that he is privileged to run the business, but he is no stranger to the service.
